2 killed in Wood County crash

OOD COUNTY -- The Wood County Sheriff's Office tells us two people were killed in a one-vehicle accident on SR 282, west of Huffman Rd.

The vehicle was traveling west at a high rate of speed, we hear. It went off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and overturned several times, ejecting two of the occupants. The two were pronounced dead at the scene.

The third occupant, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken by Life Flight to St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center.

The deceased have been identified as James F. Fillhart, 35, of Wayne, Ohio, and Jeannie M. Merrit, 24, also from Wayne. Linsay M. Traut, 28, also from Wayne, was injured.
